lazy days.
I've been going over the first Article of Faith with the kids for a while now, I started reading it with them in Florida. Usually it's my scripture of the day with the kids. I would say it line by line and I had the kids repeat after me. I never expected them to memorize it, but they always show me that they are capable of more than I think.
A couple of nights ago I was putting the kids to bed, as I got up to leave the room, Ke'ala said, " Time to read scripture". She proceeded to say the first Article of Faith but could only go so far as " ..the Eternal Father.." and then she finished it with, ".. and in the Holy Ghost". I was shocked that she knew that much, but to my surprise, Leva chimes in and says, " No, Ke'ala. It's, " We believe in God.." and started going through it with her, as I did with them. He said it word for word until the very end. I couldn't believe my ears. I wonder if he realized that he knew it before that night or if he just said it because Ke'ala tried to say it on her own. Kids really are smarter than we give them credit for!
The bag Leva is wearing is his "costume". He's going trick-or-treating.

Ok, I have chills that your kids can do that. What a GREAT idea to have use the same article of faith, or scripture or whatever. I get overwhelmed trying to ever read sciptures, because they just can't understand it yet. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea. That is why blogs are so great, no I can steal it for my own. :)
