Princess Preserve Park

The day before Ke'alas birthday we went to the Creekside Festival at the Princess Preserve Park. It was a beautiful park and, even better, a beautiful day. Ke'ala loved to look out at the water, she didn't want to leave the dock. We are going to have to go back there, there's so much to do. Camp, kayak or canoe on the lake, bbq, picnic, ride horses, trees and trees for miles, which means shaded grassy areas, my kind of park!

Rocker

Sesi cracks me up. He is such a happy, smiley boy. If you look at him and smile, he laughs and smiles. He loves to climb. He'd climb on everything if he could. One of the things he likes to climb on in the living room is the rocking chair. He'll climb on it, stand on it, scoot all the way back to rock in it, it's hilarious because it's so darn big and he's so small. The best part is the look of accomplishment once he climbs, turns around and sits in the chair. He loves to play on the rocking chair. I love watching him.

Waving "bye" for the first time!!

Johnny Tractor

We borrowed books from the library last month and one of the books came with a cake pan. How cool is that? Since Leva is into tractor's, and because he is, Ke'ala has to be, too, I borrowed this one. They loved this book so much that I couldn't wait to return it and have it out of the house. They fought over the book, they wanted it read to them over and over, again and again. But it was fun to see their expressions. I thought the cake turned out well. I baked it, of course, and jesse did the icing...pretty impressive, aye? haha I let the kids pick the parts that they wanted to eat. Why didn't it surprise me that Leva picked the big wheel? Oh well, he didn't finish it, but he had fun trying to take it down!

Catching up

I took some random pictures a few months ago. I got Sesi a walker cause I'm a FAN of walkers!! I put Sesi in for the first time and these were the pictures I got! He was so excited! His footing has gotten alot better and a few days ago he took his first steps. I'm so sad to see my baby get older. why does it happen so quickly?

We went out to a friends farm and had a little bonfire for FHE and we roasted 'mallows and dog. The weathers been great and it was nice to be outside. Aside from the horse and cow poo on the ground, I enjoyed myself. I was paranoid about the kids walking around with all the poop I almost wanted to keep them all in one spot. I didn't think about that before we got there. Something to think about on the next trip to the farm..

One year older and, hopefully, wiser too :)

2 yrs old! My baby girl aint a baby no more! Drama, drama, drama. Diva, diva, diva. I've seen worse, but maybe she seems so crazy because Leva's not at all. Anyway, we love her. She had a birthday on Sunday and girlfriend took advantage of it! Papa Brett wanted to help and make the cupcakes, they turned out pretty good, huh? I have to admit, I was kind of nervous but he did good. Laverne got her a cake too, so there was plenty of sweets. It was definitely Ke'alas kind of party. The thing about this girl is that you don't have to do anything. She doesn't care to play outside, toys are ok, but only for a while. What did she want to do for her birthday? No big bash, what's all the fuss about? I asked her and she said, " How bout watch a movie, eat cookie?". And so we did just that. Minus the cookie, add a cupcake or three. We felt really bad, like we've been lacking in the girl department. She wants nothing and is used to playing with Leva and his toys, we decided we'd get a few toys that would be just for her. Dress ups and play shoes is what she got from Grampa in Hawaii. Gigi got her a play kitchen and shopping cart so she would stop getting the things we need in the real kitchen. It's a pain to stop that girl sometimes. We were kind of nervous because when we're at the store and we try to give her toys to play with that we think she'd like, she refuses them and only wants the one thing she already has, a doll or bear. It's good for me, but when your actually looking for something to give her, it's very hard. We got them anyway and they were great! She loved to put them on and play dress up. I think it helped alot when Leva grabbed the clothes and said, "Oh Ke'ala, is this yours? It's pretty, your sooo pretty!" Did I mention she loves praise? lol She put that thing right on and asked for the mirror.
don't know why but she's been making this crazy face alot lately.. still sucking that bottom lip though.
watching cinderella

she found a cowboy hat on the way out the door and put it on

I told her to say cheese and she struck this pose. I hope I don't regret this... lol

We had a birthday, shout, Hooray!!!

Halaleva turned three in August. I know I'm really late but I got busy and I'm playing catch up now. Jesse decorated his cake, I baked and iced it. :) It was a fun day, basically a "Car's" themed birthday. He's been obsessed over the movie since the beginning of the year and isn't it funny that it's only been two months since his birthday and now he's over it? Kids! He still likes playing with the cars and watching the movie but now other things spark his interest, instead of "Cars" being the one and only thing. It's good for us cause we were getting pretty tired of it, we had to hide the movie so we didn't have to watch it everyday. Aunty Moli, Telesa, Lina and Sai sent him a bike, which he LOOOVES. The first day he rode it, he was a little shakey because the bike's just a hair too big for him. But he found a way to ride it and the second day he took off like wildfire. I'm in the process of teaching him how to brake. A few weeks ago we went walking and he rode his bike. A car turned onto the road, I told him to stop and he just stopped pedaling his bike. The darn bike kept moving, obviously, because he didn't push on the brakes, but I couldn't help but laugh cause it looked so funny. His face looked shocked, like, I stopped moving, why is the bike still going? He knows how to brake now but we're trying to put it together with the pedaling. Jesse and I got him a helmet to go with his bike and it came with a bell, which he rings while he's riding and says, "I am speed! I'm Lightning McQueen!" When he got the helmet, he wore it everywhere. Even when he wasn't riding his bike. We also got him swimming goggles so that he can see under water. It was a hit! When he got under water we could see his head moving from side to side, looking at the bottom of the pool. He couldn't stop laughing when he saw us under water, he'd get so excited, he'd lose his breath and have to come up for air.
the morning after his bday with all his car loot. he's wearing a car's tshirt frm aunty Kelly. watching cars, wearing the helmet.

she wanted a turn on the bike.
