Back to the Beach

JBoosky is officially one month old.  Look at him.  (If you can peel your eyes off my hair.. nothing like the beach and short curly hair to make you feel like Richard Simmons about to shoot a workout video..add wind factor and then you just look like a poodle, and there was wind.. did I say it was windy?)  He's so cute! Jeremy, not Mr. Simmons.  Or me.  Saturday was our first outing to the beach since a couple wks before Jlove joined the family.  What's up with the nick names?  No clue, we've been calling him every thing under the sun lately.

Some times it's hard to live on the Rock, especially during the holidays, specifically Christmas.  It doesn't ever get cold enough to feel like Christmas.  But most days I am grateful that we can go out on any given day at any given time and enjoy the beauty of the island, where the weather is almost always perfect and the ocean is always warm.

2 weeks

One week

Here's the little guy at one week.  There's big baby brother Salesi at 18 months.  Funny how a wee babe can make the older baby look and feel like a mighty giant.

A day with Jeremy

Every thing about this birth has been perfect.  The location, the staff, midwife, labor.  Perfect.  Look at the view from our room.  Beautiful.  Lucky me, I got to wake up to our baby and this sunrise each morning we were there.  Behind the trees were the mountains of Mauna Kea. We were given the choice to walk Jeremy around outside and give him some sun after he'd been born.  Nice.

Shout out to Jesse.  He's come a long way.  Guess what he did?  He cut. the. cord.  So proud.  Not sure if I was happier to have had the baby or that my husband had grown so much since our first birthing experience.  He stuck with me the whole way thru.  Guts of STEEL he had that evening. Flashbacks to the moment of Leva's birth where he got sick and my nurses left me alone on that delivery bed with my OB, to tend to his weak stomach.  GET HIM JUICE & CRACKERS! They said... It was a moment of many firsts for this Markovitz family on Thanksgiving day.  A very happy day indeed.
