Video uploads

The next posts are video's of the kids. There are quite a few, nothing spectacular, I like to remember this time in their lives. New and old. Ke'ala and Leva are getting along really well, she copies him all the time. They are playing together better than they used to. It's fun to watch.

Sunbeam!!!

My little boy is in Primary!!
I was so emotional on Sunday. I can't believe how fast time has gone by.
It was a Sunday of firsts. Leva also had a chance to bear his testimony in Sacrament meeting. Every first Sunday I give Jesse a nudge and in a teasing way, I ask him if he's going to bear his testimony. And every first Sunday he shoots me down. It's become a ritual for me every fast and testimony meeting. I knew this day would be the same (even though I wish he would, I love hearing him share his testimony). When I popped the question I got an enthusiastic answer from Leva. He rose his hand and said, "I want to bear my testimony, I can do it!" Jesse and I laughed, we haven't gone over testimonies yet with him. 20 minutes go by and he's still in my ear about going up to the top. I explained to him what he had to do and he said he could do it. I couldn't deny him the opportunity, he was so anxious. I told him he'd be scared and he said he wouldn't. I took him up and as we sat at the front of the room, he caught a glimpse of his Uncle Tonga and shouts, "Hey Uncle, I'm up here! Hiii!" While we waited for our turn I told him that I'd help him and he'd just repeat after me. " No mom, you stay here. I'm gonna go by myself, ok? I'm not gonna bear my testimony, I'm just gona say a prayer." The speaker sits down and he bolts to the pew. He reaches for the mic, stands on the step, takes one look at the crowd and ducks down. SCARED. He stalled, didn't say a word and every time I told him we'd sit down he'd whisper a little something in the mic. All the while, Ke'ala (sitting with daddy below) is saying, " Come on, Lev! Come on!" It seemed like forever so I finally shared my testimony, half way thru that, the mic goes off, I turn and see Leva pushing buttons where the controls were, over by the bishopric. That happened twice during my testimony. Needless to say, we'll be working on testimonies at home. We had a very uplifting day.

Sesi, wearing Leva's hand-me-downs. The bruises on his head, he's a tough guy.

What is it with kids and shoes?

Like father, like son.

Picture above is Leva and below is Sesi. They're about the same age in the pics, give or take a month or two. Sesi might be older in the pic.. maybe..

Super Why 2

What one has, the other wants. More pictures that I forgot about, of Leva's siblings, trying on his costume.

Super Why!

A week or two after Halloween, Leva started to jump off of everything and say he was a superhero. He'd hold pillows and other things on his back as he ran around the room and when I'd ask him what he was doing, he told me he was a superhero and that it (whatever he was holding on his back) was his cape. Right away, I knew that had to be on his Christmas list. I didn't have much luck finding one that would keep us within our budget for Christmas, who knew childrens costumes would be so pricey? We found these at Toys R Us, I was soo happy because my kids watch this PBS show religiously.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Super Why, it's a show with heroes that have different powers, like the power to read or spell. They solve their problems by looking in a book that has similar problems, and follow the storyline to get an answer. Throughout the story, they encounter obstacles that they use their literacy skills to solve.

Anytime they put these on, they ask for a mirror and check themselves out.
I love how they got excited and into costume-mode and then SAT back down to watch the show. These kids! Yes, that is a book in Leva's arms. I swear, they've got to follow it to a 't'.

So lost in the zone.

This was too funny, Leva saw his character and said, "That's me! I'm Leva!"

Ke'ala has Princess Presto's gear. I didn't get a pic of her cause she sat for most of the show. She really gets lost into tv. I'm afraid for her...

Sesi playing with the Dinosaur Train toys, while the Dinosaur Train is on. Another PBS show about, what else? Dinosaurs! Really, this kid is just about to knock the toys off the table. That's all he ever does.. King Kong!

I've got videos to post along with these pics but i'm having a hard time putting them up.. to be continued!!

Sesi

I'm clearing the pictures off of my camera. Here are some random pics I took of Sesi.

I was watching him play with Ke'ala's baby doll and he went in for the kill... no he was just giving the baby a kiss. Got to love the drooly, open mouth kisses. Yuck!

One day I heard him crying/whining. It was a different cry than usual. I ran into the room and saw him like this.

He's a climber, just like his older brother was. He climbs anything that he can get his hobbit feet on. But I don't know how in the world he got onto the table with the basketball in his hands. The look on his face was pure panic. It was so cute, the look that said, " Please, help me!! Pleeeease, help me! I don't know how I did this, but I'm never doing it again!!" And he never has. I think he knew he was farther up than he thought and if he took one small step in any direction, he'd fall hard. This kid was frozen in place. I'm surprised he stayed there for as long as he did. But of course, I had to take a picture before I helped him down. :)

Christmas 2010

This year we spent Christmas with our Vegas Markovitz family. Jesse's cousins were here, along with Kelly and Dustin and they wanted to do Christmas together. I'm glad we ended up going, it was nice to spend time with them. Karli did all the fixin's, hooray!! The meal was delicious, what made it even better was that I didn't have to cook! :)
A few photo's of the kids on Christmas morning. I really didn't take much pics this year. A low key, much needed, relaxing Christmas.

His Super-Why costume... more to come!
