Jan 2013 Zip vid siu

So it's Zip Lining.  I'm laughing.  Apologies for being so loud but i was holding the phone after all.  Before we jumped we had to wait for the call, a safety signal if you will, from the person who went ahead of us to let us know the way was clear.  Siu heard a cow moo and was about to jump when the instructor grabbed her and said, "You gotta wait for the call!"   I'm  laughing now just thinking about it.  I'm afraid of heights but this girl took the cake.  We practically had to push her off.  Good times for sure!  Thanks Ini for watching the kids!

Jan 2013 Zip Vid Ela

From January 2013!!  We were in the middle of moving out my parents place and having visitors, my sis Siu and her family came to visit from Az.  Ela came home from her mish at the time, it was quite the reunion.  A family friend took us Zip riding and it was a blast!!  How could I NOT post this?!

Feb 2013 Farm Fun

I followed Leva and Sesi around the farm one day.  Here's Leva at the Jumping Log.  Sesi, on the swings.  Sesi is so much fun.  He is clumsier than your average bear.  He falls the second he takes one step.  THAT kind of clumsy. 

That's Sesi attempting to be a big kid and jump off the swing in midair.  How did it end?  With him tangled on the swing, body dragging in the grass and me laughing hysterically on the ground.  I gave him fair warning and advised him not to, but he kept assuring me he could do it and sure enough with out warning, bam. The only reason I captured the moment is because it was so sudden, I thought he was about to smile for me.  Not to worry, I gave him plenty of hugs and kisses once I could contain myself.  I LOVE this boy.  He loves me back.  When I think of him, the words, "You never know what you're gonna get" comes to my mind.  He never disappoints. 

Nature Walk

year ago in March of 2013 , shortly after we moved to the farm, I went on a nature walk with the kids.  I dont think I knew I was prego at the time but it sure felt good to get out and walk.  Even if I had to carry Salesi the whole way. He wasn't walking yet and there's no way a stroller would've made it up the hard part of the road.  The kids were excited but by the end of it were begging for home, pretty sure we covered at least a miles worth of bumpy, steep terrain around the mac nut trees.  The boys did well, didn't start to ask "Are we home yet?", until about the time Ke'ala graced us with her spectacular crying voice. Ke'ala was doing fine until at the last stretch til home, literally 30 ft away, she slipped on some pebbles and declared that it was the worst thing I'd ever done, why did I take them walking?, she hated going on walks, she never wanted to do it again.  All in one breath.  Sheesh.  4 yrs old. So much for quality time.  Salesi was about 1 yr.  Leva-5 and Sesi-3.  Still, I know they had a good time getting out and exploring a bit.  It might be time to tie up my laces and revisit that old bumpy road..

Shannel had a baby shower in January.  She just had baby girl a couple of weeks ago.. one week ago?  It was a surprise gender birth.  I've always wanted to do that. A pic of Grandma's and Apina Aunties.

Mauna Kea Snow

We've had a cold front in the months of January and February this year.

We didn't have time to go to the snow but Jesse and I passed it all as we were driving to Hilo for an appointment for his hand.  It was cold and windy.  I did get the sniffles the following day.  Boohoo.
